Mary McHale Wood Scholarship

About the Scholarship

In Spring of 2024 I was awarded the Mary McHale Wood Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Writing.

Each year the English faculty selects a worthy emerging writer from the junior class to honor with this award. They look for a writer with a sense of vocation and who has gone above and beyond the call over the years in their writing courses. This student not only shows talent, but discipline, ambition, and, best of all, care for other writers in their community. This student shares expertise with others, helps others succeed in their writing adventures and serves as a galvanizing force in the St. Norbert writing community.

Writing Human/s, the 2024 Writing Innovation Symposium at Marquette University

In Spring of 2024, I submitted a writing flare, a 3 minute video about what it’s like to be a young writer in the mid 2020’s, to the Writing Innovation Symposium at Marquette University. I was accepted to their Undergraduate Flares Showcase and had my flare featured at the event.
